Travel and stay

We kindly ask all participants to make their own travel arrangements and send us their itinerary as soon as possible so that we can book rooms at the hotel. Please keep your receipts you receive when you book your tickets and also all the boarding passes and tickets as these will be needed for refunding your costs.

International participants will stay at Rica Hotel G20 at the centre of Oslo.

Dinners

The conference dinner will be held at Argent Fine Dining on Thursday March 14 at 19:30. For those still in Oslo on Friday evening, there will also be a dinner at a seafood restaurant Lofoten Fiskerestaurant at 19:30. The departure time from the hotel is at 19:10. Agustín Menéndez will guide the walks from the hotel to the restaurants. Please let us know of any dietary requirements, and in case you do not plan to participate at the dinners.

How to get from Gardermoen airport to the hotel

The Airport Express Train (Flytoget) is the fastest way of getting from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to the city centre, the travel time is approx. 30 minutes. The train gets you directly to Nationaltheatret Station, which is 600 metres from Rica Hotel G20. The Airport Express Train departs every 10 minutes, but please note that the final destination of every second train is Oslo S (central station), and does not take you all the way. Only trains with destination Drammen stop at Nationaltheatret, departure every 20 minutes.

You have several options when buying the ticket for the Airport Express Train: First, you can buy it from orange ticket vending machines at the arrival hall (recommended since you will receive the ticket on paper). Second, you can also just use your credit card by swiping it BEFORE boarding the train at the card reader at the airport before the stairs to the station. On your way back to the airport you can do the same at the train station. If you choose this possibility, you will have to register your credit card later so that you can receive a receipt. Without it we can’t refund your ticket.

Make sure to use either the exit Stortingsgata or Ruseløkkeveien when leaving the train/metro stop at Nationaltheatret (not Parkveien/Henrik Ibsens gate). Please see the maps for more information. The maps are also available as Google maps: http://goo.gl/maps/GjwiZ.

Conference venue and how to get there

The easiest way to get to the conference venue from the hotel is to take the tram or the metro, both stops are only a few minutes’ walk away from the hotel:

- Metro (in Norwegian 'T-bane'): Take one of the following lines from Stortinget stop: No 3 ‘Storo’, 6 ‘Sognsvann’, or 4 ‘Ringen’. Get off at Forskningsparken stop. The ride takes about 8 minutes.

– Tram (in Norwegian 'trikk'): Take tram No 17 or 18, both ‘Rikshospitalet’ from Tinghuset stop. Get off at the Universitetet Blindern stop. The ride takes about 15 minutes.

See the maps for more information.

Tickets are sold at vending machines at metro stops or in Narvesen, Deli de Luca and 7 Eleven kiosks. It is also possible to buy single tickets in cash on board of buses and trams, but not on metros.

On Thursday, March 14,  there is common transport from the hotel to the conference venue. The maxi cab will leave 08.30 from the hotel.
