Cesar Castilla is Research Professor of International Relations with a specialisation in Middle Eastern (Iran) and Asia-Pacific issues. His work focuses on International Security, Migration and Cultural Integration, and he is member of CLACSO's Research Group on Middle East and North Africa. Castilla holds a PhD in International Relations from Université Toulouse 1 Capitole. He has also studied geopolitics and IR at Sciences Po, Toulouse.
Castilla worked as Professor at Universidad de Los Hemisferios (Quito-Ecuador) for five years, where he established the Centre for Population and Migration Research and implemented a programme of integration for refugees and migrants sponsored by the UNHCR.
