Academic Interests

Johanne Døhlie Saltnes' academic interests include the EU's development policy, political dialogue, sanctions and the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy. Her postdoctoral research project forms part of the H2020-funded project GLOBUS - Reconsidering European Contributions to Global Justice. 

Higher education and employment history

Saltnes holds a PhD in political science from ARENA Centre for European Studies, University of Oslo. Her dissertation is entitled 'Norm collision in the European Union's external policies. EU development policy revisited'. She received her masters degree in International Relations from Webster University in Vienna, Austria.
