Academic interests

Claire Godet is one of three early stage researchers at ARENA who are part of the PLATO project, a European training network (MSCA-ITN) composed of 15 PhD candidates who all contribute to one overall research question: Did the way the EU handled the financial crisis contribute to creating a deeper legitimacy crisis?

Godet's PhD project analyses how the legitimacy difficulties originating from the financial crisis limit the EU's ability to reform its Carbon Trading Scheme.

Godet holds an MA in European Politics (Euromasters) from the University of Bath and Humboldt University Berlin and a complementary Master in Human Rights Law from Université Saint-Louis - Bruxelles. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Political Science at Université libre de Bruxelles. She worked for two years as an assistant teacher in political science at Université Saint-Louis.
