How is the research quality of dissertations assessed, and how can the examiner's characteristics influence said assessment? Three characteristics and their influence on the assessment process are discussed in this article:
- prior relationship to supervisor
- examiners’ assessment experience
- the regional affiliation of examiners
The article is authored by researcher at TIK Taran Mari Thune and Svein Kyvik (NIFU).
