Robust regulation in the petroleum sector
The project addresses the challenges described under regulatory regimes in the HSE-program. The aim of the project is to develop knowledge that can be used to design robust regulation for the complex and changing field of the petroleum sector.
About the project
The aim develops under four main objectives:
- To understand and conceptualize the robustness of the Norwegian risk regulation regime within the petroleum sector.
- To analyse other nations' regulatory regimes of special importance for the development the Norwegian regime in an international context.
- To assess the interface between the development of risk regulation regimes and risk management systems and risk behavior in the industry.
- Disseminate research based knowledge about risk regulation.
