Cognitive deficits in schizophrenia and ADHD (completed)

About the project

In 1994-98 the study "Cognitive deficits in adolescents with schizophrenia or ADHD" was conducted. A group of 19 patients with early-onset schizophrenia was compared with a group of 20 adolescents with ADHD and a group of 30 healthy adolescents on neurocognitive variables. Prof. Rund was the principal investigator and Øie was the Ph.D. student. Seven papers were published.

In the follow-up study of the same subjects in 2004-08 ("Cognitive deficits in adolescents with schizophrenia or ADHD: a 13 year follow-up study") Øie was principal investigator and four papers were published.

Outcomes

A 20 year follow-up study in 2015 is under preparation with Øie as a principal investigator.
