Academic interests

Currently working on doctoral thesis titled “Understanding Young Violent Sex Offenders”, an in –depth psychological study of young violent sex offenders in psychoanalytically oriented intensive psychotherapy. Other interests are psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic theoory in general, particularly related to understanding sexuality and aggression.

Higher education and employment history

Graduated as clinical psychologist from the University of Oslo in 2003. Associated with the Institute of Clinical Sexology and Therapy (IKST) in Oslo since 2001. Currently in private practice at IKST. Has focused on psychotherapeutic work with sex offenders, primarily rapists. And also youth with sexually aggressive behaviour and patients with various kinds of gender identity related problems.
