Faglige interesser

Politisk og økonomisk geograf med fokus på organiseringen av arbeidere og sosiale bevegelser. Jeg er interessert i fagforeningers evne til å fornye seg og tilpasse seg samfunnsendringer, og mer generelt for mobilisering av sivilsamfunnsorganisasjoner. Min forskningsportefølje inkluderer empirisk forankret forskning på omstrukturering av lokalforvaltningen i Cape Town, fleksibilisering av arbeid i den norske hotellsektoren, kirkenes rolle i fredsbygging i Øst-Kongo (DRC), uformelle bosetninger i Sør-Afrika og bemanningsbransjen i Norden.
