Monitoring Policy and Research Activities on Science in Society in Europe (MASIS) - Final synthesis report

Torben Hviid Nielsen and  Kenneth Dahlgren have contributed to the Monitoring Policy and Research Activities on Science in Society in Europe (MASIS) - Final synthesis report.

This is the final report on common issues and research priorities emerging from the European-wide project on ‘Monitoring Policy and Research Activities on Science in Society in Europe’ (MASIS). The report provides preliminary information on cross-cutting issues and trends in Europe relating to science in society, based on analyses of the national material.

This report focuses primarily on results concerning debates about the place of science in society, citizen engagement in policy-making related to science and technology, research priorities within the area of science in society, and trends in science communication across Europe. It should be noted that this report is based on analyses of national reports as they stand ahead of the final validation. The results presented here are therefore preliminary and will be adjusted and revised, once the final versions of all national reports are available.
