K. Rahul Sharma holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a MTech in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management from TERI. He was also a Postgraduate Fellow at the Yale School of Forestry and Environment Studies.
He has been working with TERI for one year on renewable energy projects, with a specific interest in solar PV, decentralized electricity systems, smart grids and techno-economic assessment of energy projects. At TERI, he has worked on solar lighting in both technical and managerial roles, is responsible for on-field performance assessment, laboratory
management, training programmes, and outreach. He is also involved with projects that focus on developing renewable energy options for livelihood generation in rural areas in India. Prior to joining TERI, he worked with Integrated Research and Action for Development (IRADe), New Delhi where he worked on the Solar Cities project and research on Solar PV module degradation, and was a researcher at the Centre for Business and Environment at Yale, where he worked on business and policy aspects of Smart Metering.
