Abstract

Travelling involves many paradoxes: sometimes going to see the beauty of the world can contribute to the destruction of that beauty and the ones travelinng can be among the most concerned of such changes. But who in the modern world gets to travel or even qualifies as a "traveller"? In the article Karen O'Brien examines the paradoxes, drawbacks and opportunities of modern travelling.
