Residency requirements for candidates with external funding.

For PhD candidates in Economics with funding from an external employer, the following applies:

Required duties (at the funding institution)

PhD candidates must, within the entire admission period, be ensured that the research training constitutes three years of full-time study. For example: If the admission period is four years, the required duties (at the funding institution) must not exceed 25 %. Duties should be related to research, and should as far as possible be relevant to the doctoral program.

Residency requirement

PhD candidates with external funding have a residency requirement at the Department of Economics for at least two semesters. Normally, these two semesters should be the first two semesters of the program period. The Department offers office space, office equipment, computer equipment and support as well as other facilities during these two semesters.  The Department does not offer any assets.
