Department seminar. Water Bossert is a Professor of Economics, University of Montréal. He will present the paper: "Daunou’s voting rule and the lexicographic assignment of priorities". Co-authored by Salvador Barbera and Kotaro Suzumura.

Department seminar. Valerie Smeets is a professor at Aarhus University, Department of Economics and Business in Denmark. She will present the paper: "Multi-Product Firms, Import Competition, and the Evolution of Firm-product Technical Efficiencies". Co-authored by Emmanuel Dhyne, Amil Petrin and Frederic Warzynski.

Department seminar. Winnie van Dijk is a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Chicago Becker Friedman Institute. She will present the paper: "The socio-economic consequences of housing assistance".

Staff lunch seminar. Daniel Spiro is associate senior lecturer (associate professor) in economics at Uppsala University in Sweden. He will present the paper "The Economics of Planetary Boundaries", co-authored by Gustav Engström, Johan Gars, Chandra Kiran, Raphael Calel, Therese Lindahl, and Badri Narayanan.

ESOP seminar. Scott Barrett is a Professor at Columbia University. He will present the paper: "The Malaria Eradication Game".

Department seminar. Hessel Oosterbeek is Professor of Economics at the University of Amsterdam. He will present the paper: "Elite schools harm marginal students and benefit high achievers: Evidence from admission lotteries". Co-authored by Nienke Ruijs and Inge de Wolf.

Hélène Mialet from the York University in Canada visits TIK Methods Lab with her talk Translating the body and the self through dogs and machines. The seminar is open to all.

Katharina Meissner will hold a methods seminar entitled 'Using 'R' in qualitative research: QCA, process-tracing, and the case of EU trade sanctions'. The seminar is open to all ARENA staff. 

Marianne Marthinsen and Maria S. Wahlberg are economists and politicans. They have written a book together about common tax avoidance strategies: Rødt lys. Det store skatteranet- og hvordan vi kan stoppe det.  The guest lecture is a part of ECON4415, but is open for all.

Department seminar. Mary Amiti is an Assistant Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She will present the paper: "Dominant Currencies: How firms choose currency invoicing and why it matters?". Co-authored by Oleg Itskhoki and Jozef Konings.

Prokura is a young consultancy company, specializing in purchasing and supply chain. They will visit ECON3170/4170 to hold a case lecture on logistics optimazation, and you are welcome to join.
