PADEMIA workshop: The impact of referenda on parliamentary democracy
The final workshop of the PADEMIA project will be held in Brussels on 19-20 September 2016.
The final PADEMIA workshop will focus on the impact of referenda on parliamentary democracy, notably in the light of the recent Brexit vote. It will look in particular at the interaction of plebiscitary and parliamentary democracy, with reference to the UK and other recent referenda experiences, and at the consequences of the UK’s vote to leave the EU for the UK itself, the European Union and other EU Member States.
The workshop will take place on 19 and 20 September 2016, at the premises of the Fondation Universitaire, rue d’Egmont 11, 1000 Brussels.
