Marit Eldholm

Marit Eldholm is Research Advisor at ARENA. She contributes to the administrative coordination of externally funded research projects and the dissemination of research findings.
Background
Eldholm was communications and administrative officer for the project Reconstituting Democracy in Europe (RECON) (2007-2011), where she was the project's web master and responsible for the RECON Newsletter, publication series, intranet and other communication and dissemination activities. She also contributed to the administrative coordination of the project and acted as RECON Project Manager in the last six months of the project.
RECON was a five year Integrated Project funded by the European Commission's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), with 22 partner institutions in 12 European countries as well as New Zealand, and with an FP6 contribution of 5 million €.
Eldholm has previously worked as a research assistant at ARENA, mainly linked to the FP5-funded research project CIDEL (2003-2005).
Eldholm holds an MA in political science from the University of Oslo with a thesis on the making of the European Constitution, undertaking a discourse-theoretical analysis of the Convention on the Future of Europe (ARENA Report 4/2007). Her undergraduate degree includes studies in comparative politics as well as humanistic informatics at the University of Bergen, international politics at the Università degli Studi di Catania, French language and literature at the Université libre de Bruxelles and commercial French at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
